Women and children fetch water at Kagwara landing site in Serere district as others wash their clothes at the same place. 
 People living at Kagwara landing site in Serere district fetch water for home consumption because of lack of clean water sources like a borehole.
That aside the same water source acts as their latrine they defecate in the night. “We survive by mercy of God because we defecate in the lake and during day time women fetch water from the same source,” a resident told this reporter.
The District Health Officer Serere Francis Odeke says people living on the highlands of Kagwara, Mulondo and Mugarama at high risk of contracting water born diseases during rainy session like now.
