This lady whose photograph was taken from Kaabong district attracted attention from visitors outside the region and much of their attention was diverted.
I had some say “but is she normal? How can she put on the shoes of men?” with all those comments she remained calm and focused on the function. She was ‘armed’ with her phone and in many times I could see her checking on it whether to see the time or anxiously waiting for a call!

Transport on public means to Moroto is 20,000 from Soroti town. My first destination in Karamoja is Moroto town which is more of the city for the region due to availability of many amenities such as the banks and the referral hospital. The journey would take us about four hours and thirty minutes drive. Throughout our journey, the driver would play old music of 1980s, few tracks from Buganda and Karamojong music probably to initiate us into the land of herdsmen. Soon after living Katakwi a district that boards with Karamoja, Aleklek is the first place to usher you to the home of the uncles of Iteso. Tribute to 239 passengers of Malaysian Airline that went missing a year ago The Writer and a colleague Damalie Nabbosa after arriving   BY GODFREY OJORE         On Sunday 08.03.2015 marked exactly one painful year among the relatives of the 239 people who perished in a Malaysian MH370 plane that went missing after takeoff from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The Boeing 777-200ER did not make it to Beijing in China as planned and to date neither the plane nor the passengers have been found. The relatives who had perhaps been waiting with flowers to receive their beloved ones were left in total confusion and disbelieve of what befell their relatives. This will remain a permanent dark day to the world, especially to the hundreds of families who could not get a chance to pay their last respects to their dear ones, let alone organize a decent send off.   On the fateful day, 29 African journalists were also traveling to the same continent that the Malaysian MH370
